THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Ontario urge the Government of Ontario:
i) to remove the ceiling on funding increases for child care; and
ii) to increase the number of subsidized child care spaces in consultation with the Municipalities; and
iii) to provide immediately a direct grant of at least $7 per day per licensed space; and
iv) to strongly urge the Federal Government to match the provincial contribution to child care.
