THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Business and Professional Women’s Clubs of Ontario commend the Government of Ontario’s recent announcements of changes to Social Assistance programs and urge the speedy and full implementation of:
(1) Recommendation of #91 of the Report of the Social Assistance Review Committee, “transitions” which reads: “The limitations on full-time work applied to sole support parents receiving FBA (Family Benefits Assistance) should be abolished and
(2) Recommendations #89, 90 and 92-101 and 102, all of which pertain to incentives for employment by persons, especially sole support parents, who are dependent on Family Benefits Assistance.
